I worked for a nonprofit with toxic Nobody was doing exit leadership. interviews, so I took over. I told employees to leave a review, but don't leave a one star review, because that shows you don't care. Leave a TWO star review, because that shows you care! ;)

Most companies don't have any two star reviews from employees, this company has almost all two stars. "Toxic workplace" is trending in the reviews, rating dropped from 3.4 to 2.4, CEO approval is almost nothing.

CEO even planted five star reviews in her own company voice and branding, but it wasn't enough. Less than 200 employees, and 30+ empty positions at any given point. She's "stepping down" at the end of the year, and her statement sounded very scripted and her voice sounded very defeated. Peace out!

IntrovertPharmacist - 16 hr. ago That sounds like the company I used to work for. Every time they dip down to 3 stars, they have current employees write reviews that are so blatantly scripted to try to bring the rating back up. Every single positive review is from a "current employee".

doctorevil30564 14 hr. ago It's cheaper to coerce good reviews than to fix the horrible working conditions. I worked there in the IT department. Things were so bad there that word of mouth would cause 4 out of every 5 new call center hires to quit before the end of their first week.

Introvert Pharmacist 14 hr. ago So freaking true. It's really funny because I can totally tell who the "current employees" are writing each of them. It's just so obvious that it's a script. Who do they think is believing this?

Reply Share ... 24 SuddenOutlandishness 12 hr. ago I did this once at an early-stage startup with a vile micromanaging CTO and a clueless CEO in a city with a fairly tight-knit tech community. A single glassdoor post hurt their ability to hire for years they would astroturf posts from current employees and post job ads pretty desperately. I think they eventually called the CEO's rich husband and bought them another company that

BrokenXeno 11 hr. ago Holy . I never thought to do this, but it's genius. Most people write off 1 star reviews unless they confirm what they want to hear already. You are absolutely brilliant.

Frequent_Minimum4871 4 hr. ago did this for a former employer I was honest not vindictive and truthful It stayed for 3 months before they complained and got it removed Sadly Hopefully reputation lasts though the fact they turnover their workforce 90% every few months probably avoids that happening

SwvellyBents 14 hr. ago What? You can't submit a one star review with substantiating text? A one star is always worse than a two. I don't get the two stars shows you care comment.

ThriKr33n 13 hr. ago It's pretty trivial to skim and filter out all 1* and 5* reviews as shills or those with a bone to pick with the company, whether it's justified or not. A deliberate 2* could make you pause and actually read the review as you're now curious.

ApanAnn 5 hr. ago Both 1 star and 5 star reviews are a bit sus and I don't base my desicions on them. 1 star = potentially unhinged individual, frequently a Karen. Or someone holding a grudge, for some reason. 5 star = potentially bought by the company. 2-4 stars I'll listen to.

alwaysmude 4 hr. ago It shows that you are less likely to be a disgruntled employee who was fired for a valid reason when you do 2 star reviews. We all had coworkers who definitely deserved to be fired. Giving it two stars makes it look like you can see positives, but the negatives outweigh them.

morticianmagic. 6 hr. ago Glassdoor won't post the review I did of a company. No curse words, nothing like that. So idk how reliable that site is. Reply Share.. 1 andboobootoo. 4 hr. ago Power to the people!!
